Ontario is investing in Mississauga East-Cooksville based food manufacturer Sol Cusine Inc. to upgrade its production equipment and implement a new traceability system.
The province is providing up $164,325 through the Local Food Fund to help Sol Cuisine Inc. for the purchase of new production equipment and the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The equipment will support the launch of new fresh and frozen vegetarian products made of tofu, which will help increase the sales of Ontario grown organic soybeans. The ERP system will provide traceability of both raw materials and finished goods, better manage food safety risks, improve management systems and increase production efficiencies. This project will retain four and create four jobs.
