The past month has been a busy and exciting one in Mississauga East-Cooksville. Efficient public transportation is critical for residents in our riding and has been one of my top priorities since first elected in 2011.
On March 31st the Minister of Transportation Steven Del Duca was in our riding to mark the completion of $6.5 million in upgrades to the Square One Go Bus Terminal.
The building now includes three GO service windows, accessible public washrooms and a climate-controlled waiting area. Other improvements to the terminal include: a new public address and CCTV system along the bus platforms; three new ticket vending machines—two near the platforms and one by the station building; PRESTO card balance checker; monitors displaying bus routes and platforms.
